Hey, I’m Sarah. I’m about to spill some cheesy “about me” stuff, but hopefully the kind that makes you feel something real.
I used to think growing up meant softening. For me, it’s been the opposite—I’ve hardened in some ways, like most of us do after life shows us its teeth. But picking up a camera has always been my way back to softness. Back to wonder. Back to the small, unapologetic moments that make us feel something real.
I photograph because life moves fast and feelings fade, but a single frame can hold what memory sometimes loses. I’m always looking for the slivers of beauty hiding inside the ordinary—the kind you have to slow down and look for, especially in the mess, the noise, the love, the ache of growing and becoming.
I am a mother of four, and they are my heart—my proof that time is both cruel and breathtaking. They are the reminder that everything is temporary, and that is exactly why it matters.
I’m an introvert to my core—the person who won’t answer a phone call and ducks when someone knocks on my door. But somehow, with a camera in my hands, I feel brave. Connected. Human. People show me who they are when they step in front of my lens—vulnerable, honest, beautiful in all the ways that really count. That is why I do this.
If you’re looking for someone to create images that feel like real life—honest and imperfect and full of heart—I’m your girl.
